When the Garmin Nuvi 3790T GPS hit the market last year it raised more than a few eyebrows due to the amazingly small profile. Regardless, this unit is a completely functional GPS that will handle just about anything the average consumer needs. The GPS unit is not the only device that uses this type of micro-design as it has been an ongoing trend for several years and is very popular. Actually GPS devices have been rather late to the table in the ultra-slim design area. It is hard to fathom what will exist in three to five years because right now the GPS has so many features and function stuffed into them. Because the Nuvi 3790T could have started a whole new trend, time will only tell in the future. I’m an ultrasound technician making a high ultrasound technician salary. When I have time, I really enjoy obtaining the hottest information of any device with high-end technology. I know the latest Garmin Nuvi 3790T GPS is fashionable in many ultrasound technician schools in California because it makes ultrasound technician students drive simple and cool. I just acquired the product though this need a fairly big part of my ultrasound technician salary.
The myTrends feature on the new Garmin is very popular because it gives users the opportunity to add a little personal touch to their GPS experience. One thing you can do is store the route you take daily, to and from work. Basically, anything you need to record for future reference. Although not everyone can get excited about using their GPS to go from home to work and other familiar places. You won’t have to go through a long and complicated process to turn it off if you find that it isn’t your cup of tea. But if you’re interested in learning fast detours in times of need this is a great feature to have available. This could come in quite handy if there are traffic diversions in which case you can find the best alternative route.
Beside the City Navigator® NT, the SUNA Traffic Channel which offers a subscription that is valid for life is also a Nuvi 3790T standard. The one possible consequence of such a low-profile design is apparently there was no room left for an FM receiver. You need the receiver to get the traffic updates from SUNA. The FM receiver is housed in the charge unit, so you will need to have that too. Because the charger is a mobile device, you can at least get traffic updates while you are on the road.
You do have the capability of making hands-free phone calls because it also has Bluetooth capability. For some reason it seems that the microphone is the last thing they think about installing and often isn’t very high quality so you might want to experiment with the device first.
However with trafficTrends, the Nuvi 3790T has made improvements with using alternative routes rather than constantly using major thoroughfares. MyTrends is a feature that is similar in that it learns the routes you travel the most on a daily basis and will display them. So you have several choices for data source depending on your current needs. You have the capability to disable the myTrend feature if you find you need to use another routing solution.
Reports of outperforming other Garmin GPS in processing and voice recognition have been accredited to the 3790T. Some reports on minor decreases in the performance in other areas of speech recognition have come in too. Individual preferences can be one of the variety of reasons for the difference reactions among people.
